Our newest clinic initiative involves offering wellness programs to companies and businesses who want to enhance the health of their employees, while also helping to reduce absenteeism and promote productivity.

We spend a great deal of our lives at work, so it makes sense for a variety of wellness and healthcare programs to be centred on the workplace.

We are excited to introduce our Employee Wellness Program that aims to enhance the overall well-being of employees. This comprehensive program is designed to create a healthier and more engaged workforce, leading to improved productivity, job satisfaction, and a positive workplace culture.


Objectives:


The primary objectives of our Employee Wellness Program are as follows:

  • Promote Health and Well-being: Provide employees with the tools and resources they need to lead healthier lifestyles, both at work and in their personal lives.
  • Preventive Care: Focus on preventive measures to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, enhance immune function, and improve overall health outcomes.
  • Stress Reduction: Implement strategies to help employees manage stress effectively, contributing to better mental health and reduced burnout.
  • Enhance Productivity: Improve employee focus, energy levels, and job performance by addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being.


There are three main health components that we can assist with, which include stress/fatigue, nutrition and physical fitness.


Packages:


Packages and and options for implementing wellness programs can be individually tailored to your company according to a number of factors including the type of employees you have, the number of employees, health and wellness goals for the company, wellness budget and employee preferences. These are a few options to consider.


1. Company covers treatment costs

The company subsidises all necessary treatments for employees up to a nominated amount.

2. Company subsides treatment costs

The company subsidises a set amount of each treatment for employees.

3. Tailored Health & Wellness Package

The company chooses a set package to be used by each employee.

4. Onsite Services

Active Balance Physio & Wellness provides on-site wellness services. We are able to provide on site services to companies who wish to use this option. The types of practitioners to attend, as well as frequency and length of treatments can be tailored to the company and needs of employees.


Why invest in corporate wellness programs?


The statistics speak for themselves. In 2021-2022, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics:

  • 497,300 people had a work-related injury or illness
  • The most common cause of injury or illness was 'Lifting, pushing, pulling or bending'
  • 66% had time off as a result of the injury or illness.
  • 31% received workers compensation for the injury or illness.

The most common injuries were:

  • Sprains, strains or dislocations - 29%.
  • Chronic joint or muscle conditions - 20%.
  • Cuts or open wounds - 13%.

Absenteeism is also a huge cost for businesses, and since Covid, has been on the rise. This is due to a multitude of factors including stress, fatigue, and burn out.
