SAPOL Reconditioning Program Approved Provider
Active Balance Physio & Wellness is a registered and approved provider for the SAPOL Reconditioning Program, meaning eligible South Australian Police employees can access physiotherapy and exercise physiology with our team at effectively no out-of-pocket cost.
We've worked with a number of SAPOL employees over the years and understand the physical demands that come with the job — whether that's managing an old injury, working on strength and conditioning, or simply getting on top of something before it becomes a bigger problem. This program makes it easier to prioritise your health without the financial barrier.

How it works:
The SAPOL Reconditioning Program supports employees with non-work-related injuries, healthy weight management and improved physical conditioning by connecting them with approved allied health providers and reimbursing eligible treatment costs.
Here's the process:
- Book your appointment with us as normal — online or by phone
- Pay for your treatment on the day as usual
- Submit your receipt to SAPOL for reimbursement
- Get the full amount back — effectively making treatment free
It's that straightforward.
What's covered at Active Balance
As an approved provider, we can see you under the SAPOL Reconditioning Program for:
- Physiotherapy — injury assessment and treatment, rehabilitation, pain management, return to fitness
- Exercise Physiology — structured exercise programs for injury rehab, strength, conditioning and chronic condition management
- Remedial massage and myotherapy may also be eligible for a limited number of sessions — chat with us to find out more
Who is eligible
- Current SAPOL employees who have been employed for 6 months or more
- Please note: this benefit applies to employees only, not family members
If you're unsure whether you're eligible or what you can claim, we're happy to help you work through it — just give us a call or mention it when you book.
Why choose Active Balance
We're not just a name on an approved provider list. We're a multidisciplinary clinic in St Marys with a genuine understanding of what police work asks of the body — the long shifts, the physical demands, the accumulated wear and tear. Our team includes physiotherapists, an exercise physiologist, myotherapists and remedial massage therapists, all working collaboratively to get you the best outcome.
We offer longer appointment times, a fully equipped onsite rehab gym, and flexible hours including after-hours and Saturday appointments, because we know your roster isn't always just 9 to 5.
