Physio led clinical mat Pilates
Small group mat Pilates, guided by a physiotherapist
Build strength, move better, and feel more confident in your body, with expert guidance every step of the way.
MORE THAN JUST A PILATES CLASS...
Our Mat Pilates classes are designed and led by a physiotherapist, meaning you’re not just following along, you’re being guided with purpose.
Every session focuses on improving how your body moves, helping you build strength, control, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
With a maximum of 6 people per class, we’re able to tailor exercises to suit your individual needs, whether that means modifying movements, progressing your strength, or working around injuries.
WHY CHOOSE PHYSIO-LED PILATES?
These classes are ideal if you want more than just a workout.
- Improve strength and stability
Build control through your core, hips, and whole body to support everyday movement - Reduce pain and prevent flare-ups
Learn the right exercises for your body, not a one-size-fits-all approach - Move with more confidence
Especially helpful if you’ve felt unsure returning to exercise after injury or time off - Bridge the gap between physio and independence
Continue progressing after treatment in a structured, supported way - Focus on quality over intensity
It’s not about pushing harder, it’s about moving better
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Our classes are designed to be accessible, adaptable, and supportive, no prior Pilates experience is needed.
This is a great fit if you:
- Are recovering from an injury (back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, etc.)
- Have ongoing pain or recurring “niggles”
- Want a safe return to exercise
- Prefer more guidance than a gym or large class setting
- Sit a lot for work and feel stiff or tight
- Are active but want to improve movement quality and prevent injury
Because every participant completes an initial assessment, we make sure the class is appropriate for you before you start.
EXPERT-LED, EVIDENCE-BASED PILATES
Your classes are run by Julia Flett, our physio who has trained through Polestar Pilates, an internationally recognised provider of Pilates education, and one of the highest regarded qualifications in Pilates teaching.
Polestar training goes beyond traditional Pilates, focusing on:
- Movement quality and control
- Rehabilitation and injury management
- Evidence-based exercise prescription
- Adapting exercises to suit different bodies and conditions
This means your program isn’t just based on general Pilates principles, it’s grounded in clinical reasoning and tailored to help you move and feel better.

FAQs
Do I need to be fit or flexible?
Not at all, these classes are designed to meet you where you’re at.
What if I have an injury?
That’s exactly what these classes are designed for. Your assessment ensures everything is appropriate for you.
Will I be doing the same exercises as everyone else?
Each class has a general focus, so everyone will be doing similar types of exercises. However, your physio will guide you on how to modify or progress movements to suit your body and any injuries or limitations.
How is this different from a regular Pilates class?
There will definitely be some similarities, especially if you’ve done mat Pilates before.
The difference is that you’re guided by a physiotherapist in a small group, with a strong focus on movement quality and injury management. We don’t use reformers or complex equipment, and everything can be adjusted to suit you.
So depending on your experience, it may feel familiar, or quite different.
Ready to Get Started?
