This program is a great fit if you:

  • Are managing osteoarthritis or joint pain
  • Have concerns about bone density or osteoporosis
  • Are recovering from surgery or injury
  • Feel unsteady or want to improve your balance
  • Want to reduce your risk of falls
  • Feel unsure or intimidated in a regular gym environment

Because every participant completes an initial physiotherapy assessment, we ensure the program is tailored to your needs, goals, and any limitations before you begin.

EXPERT-LED, EVIDENCE-BASED CLASSES

All of our classes are led by qualified physiotherapists who have completed additional training in exercise, rehabilitation, and strength programming. This helps ensure your sessions are safe, effective, and tailored to your individual needs.

Our approach goes beyond general fitness training, with a strong focus on:

  • Building strength safely and progressively
  • Improving balance and reducing fall risk
  • Supporting joint health and bone density
  • Managing pain and preventing injury
  • Adapting exercises to suit different bodies and conditions

This means your program isn’t generic or one-size-fits-all. It’s clinically informed, personalised, and designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay active long-term.

HOW IT WORKS...

1. Pre-program Assessment

Start with a one-on-one physiotherapy session to assess your strength, balance, goals, and any specific needs using targeted testing. Your physio will design your individual program based on the finding here to ensure your sessions are focussed on your specific needs, goals and any limitations you may have.

2. Optional Extra Support

Book additional individual sessions if you’d like more focused preparation before joining the group.

3. Small-Group Sessions

Enjoy 45-minute classes with a maximum of 4 participants, for close supervision and personalised guidance.

4. Regular Reviews

Periodic reassessments ensure your program continues to evolve with your progress.

FAQs

Do I need to be fit to start?

Not at all. These classes are designed to meet you where you’re at. Your program is tailored to your current strength, balance, and experience, so you can start safely and build up over time.

What if I have an injury or ongoing pain?

That’s exactly what these classes are designed for.

Because you complete an initial physiotherapy assessment, we make sure your program is appropriate for your body, your condition, and your goals before you begin.

Will I be doing the same exercises as everyone else?

Nope! While the group may focus on similar areas (like strength or balance), your program is individualised. Your physiotherapist will guide you on how to modify or progress each exercise based on your needs.

Is this just a standard gym class?

No, this is very different from a typical gym or group fitness class. You’ll be following a structured, physiotherapist-designed program using gym equipment, with close supervision in a small group (max 4). The focus is on safe, progressive strength training, not high-intensity workouts or generic routines.

I’ve never used gym equipment before — is that okay?

Absolutely. We’ll guide you through everything step-by-step. The goal is to help you feel confident using equipment safely, with support at every stage.

Do I need to do an assessment first?

Yes. This allows us to understand your body, identify any limitations, and create a program that’s tailored specifically to you.
