Why choose telehealth?

  • You want expert guidance and a personalised treatment plan, even if you’re not local to the clinic.
  • We specialise in sports injury rehab, particularly for CrossFit, weightlifting, and running. If your local physio doesn’t have the experience for your specific needs, telehealth lets you access our expertise.
  • Telehealth is flexible, it allows you to stay on track with your rehab, avoid delays, and continue your recovery without the need for travel or disruption.
  • It’s ideal for injuries, movement assessments, rehab planning, and ongoing monitoring.

What's involved in a telehealth session?

  • Booking Book easily online or call us in the clinic. We’ll find a time that suits your schedule and time zone.

  • Preparation You’ll receive a secure video link before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement (e.g. shorts and t-shirt). Have any scans, reports, or relevant history ready.

  • Initial Consultation Your physiotherapist will discuss your injury history, current symptoms, goals, training routine, and any challenges you’re facing.

  • Remote Assessment Through guided movements and video analysis, we assess:
  • Range of motion
  • Strength and stability
  • Movement patterns and technique
  • Posture and muscle imbalances

  • Personalised Treatment Plan You’ll receive a clear, step-by-step rehab program including:
  • Video-guided home exercises
  • Training modifications and load management
  • Injury prevention strategies
  • Progress tracking and follow-up sessions

  • We can also collaborate with your local health professionals (physios, massage therapists, trainers, or doctors) to ensure seamless care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is telehealth as effective as in-person physiotherapy?

Yes, for many conditions. While hands-on treatment isn’t possible, telehealth is highly effective for assessment, exercise prescription, technique correction, education, and ongoing rehab monitoring — especially for sports injuries and strength-related issues.

What conditions or injuries can be treated via telehealth?

Most musculoskeletal injuries respond well, particularly:

  • Sports injuries
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Back, neck, and shoulder pain
  • Tendinopathies and muscle strains
  • Return-to-sport planning
  • General strength and mobility programs

Do I need any special equipment?

No. Most sessions only require space to move, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera (phone, tablet, or computer). We can adapt exercises to whatever equipment you have at home.

Are telehealth appointments covered by Private Health Insurance?

Yes. Most Australian private health funds cover telehealth physiotherapy. You’ll receive a detailed invoice after your session that you can submit for your rebate.

How long are telehealth sessions?

Initial consultations are usually 45 minutes. Follow-up sessions are typically 30 minutes.

Can I switch between telehealth and in-clinic appointments?

Absolutely. Many clients combine both — for example, regular telehealth sessions with occasional in-clinic visits for hands-on treatment or Return to Sport Testing.

What if I need hands-on treatment?

Your physiotherapist will let you know if in-person care would be more beneficial and can help coordinate this with a local provider if you’re not in Adelaide.

Who can benefit from Telehealth Appointments?

  • People living outside the Adelaide area
  • Athletes needing specialist sports injury advice
  • Busy individuals who prefer home-based care
  • Travellers wanting to stay consistent with their rehab
  • Anyone requiring ongoing guidance between in-clinic visits
